For Counsellors

Q: I am interested in applying for a job with Sussex Counselling, who should I send my CV to?

A: Sussex Counselling is an association of independent counsellors operating throughout Sussex; as an organisation we do not have direct contact with clients and cannot therefore we do not offer jobs.

Q: I am interested in training as a counsellor, can you give me more details of your courses?

A: Sussex Counselling is an association of independent counsellors operating throughout Sussex; although we put on seminars and workshops to encourage our members in their ongoing professional development, we do not run counselling training courses. Nor can we  promote any one college or university in the Sussex area. For further information on training we would refer you to BACP

Q: I have recently enrolled on a counselling course and I need to find an organisation in Sussex where I can develop my counselling skills. Could you provide me with more details?

Membership

Q: Who can become a member?

A: Membership is open to anybody interested in counselling or psychotherapy but only qualified counsellors can be listed on our website.

Q: How do I apply for membership?

A: Download a copy of the application form from our website - here or send your address with your request for a printed copy to membership@sussex-counselling.co.uk. Or ring our Information line tel no 01273 732 900. Post the completed form and cheque to: Sussex Counselling, PO Box 71, Hassocks, W Sussex BN6 0BR.

Q: How much does it cost to join Sussex Counselling?

A: Annual membership of Sussex Counselling from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 is £25 (students £15, unwaged £10, non-BACP/UKCP members £30, organisations £32). Entry on the website is £20. All subscriptions are due for renewal on 1 April each year. We will send you a reminder.

Q: Can I change my website entry during the year?

A: Changes or additions can be made to your listing on the website at any time for a fee of £5. Please send your details in writing to the Membership Secretary with a cheque for this amount.

Q: How Can I Advertise In Sussex Counselling News?

A: Download the Advertising ratecard for details of prices, sizes and copy deadlines. Then send your details to Lesley Thomson on advertising@sussex-counselling.co.uk.

Q: When is Sussex Counselling News Published?

A: Four times a year - February, May, August and November. Deadlines for editorial or advertising copy are 16th January, 16thApril, 16th July and 16th October.
