There is no printed directory in 2011. Only members who are fully qualified counsellors (to at least Diploma level from an accredited centre or equivalent) can be included on the website. You will also need to show evidence that you are being fully supervised, are a member of BACP or UKCP (as well as Sussex Counselling) and have professional insurance cover.
Annual Membership from this year – £25 (students £15, unwaged £10, non-BACP/UKCP members £30, organisations £32). Standard membership with entry on the website is £45.
This applies once you have confirmation of a full membership account on this site. If you are advertising as a practising counsellor you will have access to edit your profile and change any publicly displayed details there. You may use some of the space in Additional Information to mention you have applied for accreditation.
If you realise there is something missing or wrong about your application then you should contact Membership (email membership@sussex-counselling.co.uk). Likewise if there is a problem with your application you will be contacted directly by the Directory Administrator.

In the interests of transparency and in accordance with good practice we need to know that all counsellors have appropriate insurance in place to cover their work. If the counsellor has attained accreditation and advertises themselves as being accredited then we need to see proof so that clients and colleagues are not misled.
There is no directory in 2011. A decision to continue it will be made later in the year at the Sussex Counselling Annual General Meeting.
Changes or additions can be made to your listing on the website at any time using the edit your profile tab on the menu. Note: You must be logged in to access this.
No because if you qualify for any of the concessionary rates (Unemployed, Student, non BACP member or Organisation) you automatically do not qualify for web directory entry, even if you are also in receipt of a pension of some kind (e.g. disability or retirement). If you are charging for your services you are not unemployed or retired.
