Effective Integrative Time Limited Counselling Course
Attention- Students and Qualified Counsellors who are interested in, or required to work within, Time Limited Counselling contracts
Many Counselling Placement Providers and Counselling Services offer Time Limited Counselling contracts of e.g. 5,6,12 or 24 sessions.
When clients with complex needs/presenting issues engage in Time Limited settings assessment, focus and containment are necessary if the client is to experience a safe and positive relational environment in which to effect desired change. ‘Beginning’, ‘Middle’ and ‘End’ therapeutic management is vital.
An understanding of Time Limited counselling frameworks and skills can augment core underpinning models and approaches to counselling in order to raise efficacy and the possibility of desired change.
Sussex Counselling supports the need for Time Limited Counselling Training as an important CPD choice, and has agreed to credit a 30hr CPD course entitled:-
“Effective Integrative Time Limited Counselling”
The course will be run over either 10 half days, or 6 full days and will be led by Cathy Davey, with associated professionals offering issue specific input and experience in areas such as Disability, Self Medication Dependency, Self Harm and Suicide.
The course will respect and reflect different core models and approaches, and offer a balanced delivery of theoretical and experiential learning. Emphasis will be on ‘theory and skills into practice’.
