All counsellors have to attend a 15 day training course in drug and alcohol counselling before seeing clients. Free supervision provided.
Counsellors are expected to offer 3-6 hours of counselling per week for a minimum of a year. Counsellors need to be qualified or in training from counselling diploma or equivalent, ideally in their second year. |

We work with children, young people and families throughout Brighton & Hove and across Sussex. Our counsellors practice in primary & secondary schools, 6th form colleges and in community settings.
Placements are available in secondary schools working with 11-16 year olds and in community locations working with 13-25 year olds. The clinical placement scheme is open to qualified counsellors and counsellors in training who have completed a minimum of 1 year of a counselling diploma (or equivalent qualification) and 25 hours of personal therapy. |
